This new partnership aims to foster knowledge exchange and strengthen international cooperation to support the development of offshore wind in Atlantic Canada.

Strategic partnership

As offshore wind continues to expand worldwide, collaboration between mature and emerging markets is becoming increasingly important. Through this agreement, the four organisations will combine their complementary expertise in research, innovation, market development, stakeholder engagement and industry coordination.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to advancing offshore wind through science, innovation, and knowledge exchange. By bringing together expertise from Europe and Atlantic Canada, this collaboration will strengthen the foundations of a competitive, sustainable, and resilient offshore wind sector.”

Herveline Gaborieau, CEO of France Energies Marines

Areas of cooperation

Potential areas of cooperation include offshore wind resource assessment, environmental studies, marine surveys, transmission and grid integration, energy system modelling, as well as capacity building and knowledge exchange.

France Energies Marines will contribute its recognised expertise in offshore wind science, technical analysis and the development of innovative tools and methodologies. The partnership will provide opportunities to share experience gained through European projects and support informed decision-making for future offshore wind developments in Atlantic Canada.
