ARCWIND

Adaptation and implementation of floating wind energy conversion technology for the Atlantic Region

Context

The East Atlantic countries have one of the best offshore wind resources in the world. To fully exploit it, it is crucial to be able to deploy energy converters in deeper waters. This requires the use of floating wind turbines. In order to ensure the viability of this technological solution, it is necessary to accurately assess the wind resource in the area and select the optimal concept in terms of energy production, seakeeping and costs throughout the value chain.
