Job Description

You wish to lead and direct a team of researchers and engineers highly motivated by the success of a sector dedicated to the energy transition in the marine environment. You have the qualities required to manage multidisciplinary studies in a scientific and industrial context.

The main challenges of the Site Characterisation Program are the reduction of uncertainties on the wind resource and design conditions: wind, turbulence, sea states in average and extreme conditions, the characterization of interactions between MRE activities and coastal morphodynamics. The goal is to provide industry players with the means to improve the characterisation of all parameters of the physical environment of MRE farms, in France and internationally, in a context of climate change.

Under the authority of the Deputy Director General, the manager of this R&D programme:

  • manage and lead a team of project leaders, research fellows, post-doctoral and doctoral students;
  • defines the Programme’s development strategy, both at the technical and organisational levels;
  • responds to national, European and international calls for projects/bids by developing key partnerships for the consolidation of the Programme and the Institute;
  • provides scientific and technical expertise on the Programme’s themes;
  • develops and participates in scientific projects in collaboration with the Institute’s members;
  • proposes and contributes to services developed from the Programme’s assets;
  • ensures that the Programme’s activities are carried out properly: quality of results, compliance with contractual and financial commitments.
